Complexity SynchronizationWe introduce the Modified Diffusion Entropy Analysis (MDEA) as a tool to measure the temporal complexity scale µ (1< µ <3) of mutually adaptive systems. We find that the scaling of brain activity derived from 64-channel electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings changes over time. Also, the scaling over time of the different channels are synchronized; Complexity Synchronization (CS). We show that CS is a general property of self-organizing systems by analyzing the dynamics of mutual-adaptive agents playing a competitive game.
