Power-law Return Times and the Dani Correspondence PrincipleWe analyze the dynamical system generated by the Dani correspondence principle from certain not-very-well-approximable numbers. These numbers correspond to a dynamical system with power-law times between local minima of the size of the shortest lattice vector. Our results highlight the relationship between Diophantine approximation, dynamical systems, and complexity.
